This is probably my favourite place in the entire list! The way they serve their pancakes is so unique! First and foremost, Seiwaa is an Okonomiyaki and Teppanyaki restaurant. Souffle pancakes are just the latest addition to Seiwaa’s menu. It comes in at $18 for four Original pancakes, or $20 for their Cheese flavoured one.

Like a true Okonomiyaki restaurant, Seiwaa cooks the pancakes right in front of us! Don’t forget to get your phones ready, as watching the chef ladle the poofy batter onto the grill is the perfect Instagram story moment. We opted to have 2 without cheese just to taste the difference. However, like everything else, cheese definitely made it better. Once done, the pancakes are drizzled with a gula melaka sauce instead of maple syrup  — another unique and local twist! The pancakes were wonderfully poofy, and fluffy like a souffle indeed. The cheese added a nice savoury note to the slightly sweet pancakes, and the caramelised gula melaka just made the entire dish even better.
